However, no other shoe has been linked to sexuality, sophistication or frivolity as much as a pair of heels. Though fraught with contradiction, heels have are loved for their ability to enhance the wearer's appearance by giving the illusion of longer legs, smaller feet and defining leg muscles while simultaneously inhibiting movement... and occasionally alluding to an imminent topple.
